Description

Truly amazing Soul 45 out of the LA area from 1978. First off Troy Johnson has some of the sweetest vocals I've ever heard. "I Want You" is a great club tune. Soul dancer with a funky piano, good backbeat drummer, heavy horn section, and a great bassist. "This Ain't the Way" is a romantic sounding break-up tune ("...We started out as lovers/Now we're acting like sisters and brothers...") Great string section and backing band. Light surface scratches but the tune comes out with a perfect sound. A few light crackles in the quieter part of the intro. STILL A GREAT SOUND!!!
