Description
Tony Rice – California Autumn (1975, Rebel Records REB‑1560) Excellent copy of Tony Rice’s landmark second album, where his flatpicking brilliance meets lyrical warmth. Backed by J.D. Crowe, Ricky Skaggs, Jerry Douglas, and Larry Rice, this record captures the golden era of progressive bluegrass.
From the title track’s shimmering acoustic textures to Rice’s definitive takes on Scarborough Fair and Beaumont Rag, the album showcases both technical mastery and soulful interpretation.
A cornerstone piece for collectors of bluegrass, Americana, and acoustic guitar artistry, rare to find preserved this well.

Teal/maroon labels. This is the original first pressing label from Rebel Records.
Excellent vinyl with first issue labels and cover, but matrix/runout corresponds to the documented second issue etching (SPL‑1549‑A/B F/W ΔM). This transitional pressing reflects Rebel’s production flow at the time, early packaging paired with later stampers. Vinyl is excellent and the cover is decent VG or better, making this a standout piece for collectors who value both condition and pressing history.
