Description
During late September 2004, to promote Real gone, Tom waits was on David Letterman for an interview and performance of Make It Rain. My father, as he describes the story, was in New York for this very show. During the time before Waits introduction, though rare, he quickly signed several pieces for a few fans. Here we have of course, one of those pieces. All good things come with unfortunate setbacks however and are listed below. The pen is black. Though my dad had his own pen, Tom had a personal pen to himself and used that one. Black as it was, means that for a relatively dark cover like Real Gone, it works in contrast against the albums colours. A second thing to point out is the unfortunate crease on the back cover. During its journey back home, in a relatively secure case, it was harmed due to "care free" staff at the airport. Other than this however, it is in perfect condition with a detailed signature. The two lp's are near mint. No scratches, no ticks or cracks. Simply put, they have been played several times. This will come in its own protective gatefold sleeve for great protection for future years in or out of a frame. Price wise, I have seen in my view, silly costs for autographs. I think this is fair and already a cut down from what I thought was originally acceptable. There is also always a make offer option which will be respected and responded to. Boxed well and guaranteed to be delivered in pristine condition. Any questions and I am only an email away. Thank you
