Description
You are bidding on Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Live in Edinburgh 1982: The Gennaro Tapes is an official 3xLP vinyl record live bootleg released on November 29, 2024 in maroon reverse splatter, through a collaboration between the Tom Petty Estate and Jack White's Third Man Records.
The raw, unpolished concert recording was captured directly from a soundboard cassette tape by the band's longtime house sound mixer, Gennaro Rippo during the band's Long After Dark tour in Edinburgh, Scotland. It holds unique historical significance because it is the first authorized Petty live recording pressed directly to vinyl without any studio touch-ups or alterations since the day it was captured.
The album was pressed as a 3LP vinyl-only limited collection housed in a tri-fold jacket. To maintain authenticity, no digital or streaming versions were released. The album was pressed in a few highly sought-after color variants, this one being Limited Edition of 2000 “Maroon Reverse Splatter” Vinyl 12" 33 RPM.
