“SOMETHING/ANYTHING?” by Todd Rundgren
This is a 7-INCH COMPACT 33 PROMOTIONAL PRESSING EP intended for commercial jukebox play.
This is Bearsville Records SB 2066. It is also referred to as LLP (Little LP) # 236 which is printed on the rear of the picture cover/picture sleeve that was issued with it.
This 7-inch record has a small spindle hole and plays at 33 1/3 RPMS.
It was issued in early 1972 to promote Todd’s “Something/ Anything?” double-vinyl landmark LP.
As you may know, PROMO RECORDS, such as this Compact 33/LLP, were released by record companies ONLY to the radio stations and DJs for airplay, but primarily for jukebox play. They were NOT released or made available to the general public, and they were produced in VERY limited quantities which makes them of interest to vinyl collectors and fans of the recording artist/band.
There are 6 cuts on this Compact 33/LLP.
The SIDE 1 cuts are: “I Saw The Light” (one of Todd’s “signature” tunes), “You Left Me Sore”, and “Hello It’s Me” (another one of Todd’s “signature” tunes”).
The SIDE 2 cuts are: “Piss Aaron”, “It Takes Two To Tango” and “Sweeter Memories”.
The PICTURE COVER/PICTURE SLEEVE is in VERY STRONG VG CONDITION. It has NO TEARS, NO SEAM SPLITS, and NO RING WEAR on it. Only some small scuffs on the word “ALBUM” at the top right corner and a spot of blue ink from a marker on the bottom center edge keep me from grading the picture sleeve higher.
The VINYL is MINT and STILL SEALED INSIDE THE PAPER PICTURE SLEEVE!
