Complete Thorens TD318 with no cartridge in non-working condition.

I purchased this Thorens TD318 a couple years ago on eBay. It was described as a MINT Condition perfectly working turntable without a cartridge. It arrived exactly as I am selling here today. See pictures.

I have never been able to get this Thorens to work. The original Thorens 16Volt Power Supply(included in this auction) that came with the TT seems to have a plug(the part that goes into the plinth) spliced onto it. I purchased a used 16Volt computer power supply(also included in this auction) as I was not interested in paying $30 to $50 for an authentic Thorens Power Supply. So that may be all that is needed to get this thing working.

What I do know is that the previous owner upgraded the RCA cable to a very high end cable and connectors(no name - just appears to be of very high quality) and added some very dense and heavy sound deadening material to the drive hub(the part that the platter sit upon). I have put a NEW Correct Drive Belt on but nothing else. EVERYTHING is straight and in excellent condition if you are looking for parts just can not get platter to spin. Tonearm moves manually and without any issues. All weights are included. Headshell and cartridge wires are in very good condition. All feet in place and properly functioning. Spindle and bearings appear straight and true with no noise or issues.

The TONEARM is in wonderful condition, Platter and original Thorens Platter Mat are in very good condition. The Plinth has a couple marks as you can see in the photos but is still in very good condition. All the buttons and hinges are in very good condition. The original Thorens Dust Cover has been damaged and repaired as seen in the photos but functions perfectly.

I am very good about setting up working turntables but I am not good with fixing them. I was taken for a ride and paid a lot of money for this and now just want it gone. My Loss/Your Gain. It still makes me mad and reminds me that there are so many horrible people in this world that will cheat, lie and steal for any amount of money. I just hope that this is able to make some analog lover on a budget but with repair skills happy.

The turntable is currently in the Akron, OH(my former hometown) area already boxed and ready for shipment. Sorry NO LOCAL PICKUP!!
