Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play Grade Very Good + To Excellent Minus (Extremely sharp and clear sound, very slight audible crackle throughout the tracks, very slight noticeable background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, no serious loud pops or clicks that are noticeable. If there are any pops they are barely audible and very scarce. Very Good + To Excellent Minus sound quality (Playtested 19th August 2008)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Very Good + To Excellent Minus (there are three or four handfuls or so of light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record but they are definitely not overpowering and are reasonably scarce, these do not affect playback in any way, there are no deep nasty raised feelable scratches on the record though, there may be some additonal light paper traces/paper scuffing from the the record being placed in and out of the inner sleeve under extreme bright light, looks to have been played on a number of occasions by looking at spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for very well, labels are reasonably clean with no rips/tears to the label, there is very little wear around the spindle holes, there is no pen marks/writing on the labels)

Album Cover Grade: Very Good + To Excellent Minus (some very light creasing to the front corners, some very light creasing to rear corners, no spine splits, a clearly legible spine, no top edge splits, no bottom edge splits, there is hardly any wear/rubbing to the spine and the top and bottom edges, no major rips or tears to the sleeve, some corner rubbing, not much ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, no laminate lifting or peeling that is serious apart from a tiny bit of lifting near the spine, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve, there is only moderate discolouration/staining on the unlaminated rear sleeve, overall an ok sleeve)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
