Description

Thirteenth Floor Elevators -- Easter Everywhere.  Good to Very Good, plays perfectly.  International Artists.

     I bought this album in Houston in 1978 and have played it only occasionally.  Still sounds nice, with some surface noise.  As far as I know it is an original pressing.  All of the song titles are spelled correctly and the record plays through nicely.  "Slip Inside This House" is the most perfect psychedelic song, and certainly my favorite.  I think Roky reached some place of higher wisdom to write this lyric-heavy trip monster.  Of course, the rest of the album is a bit psychedelic, too....

     The provenance of the 45 RPM 7" disc: Many years ago, a friend of mine made a video about Roky Ericson, including a performance at, I think, Laguna Gloria.  I was the driver for my friend, Roky, and the equipment.  Roky lived at home at his mother's house that time, off Barton Creek in Austin, if I recall correctly, and after the first day's shooting, Roky gave both me and my friend autographed copies of his book of poetry, Openers, and his mother, Mrs. Evelyn Erickson, gave us copies of this 45 which features his mother singing operatic Christmas songs -- apparently Roky comes from a musical family.  This record has been played no more than two or three times -- and possibly only once.
