Description
Up for auction is my first pressing Mercury White Label Promo LP of Thin Lizzy, Jailbreak. I am downsizing my collection and it's time to let this one go. I will go out of my way to give a very complete description, as I don't want a buyer to be disappointed.
The outer sleeve is in VG+ condition, there are no holes, tears, water damage or any other serious structural damage. - mainly there is rubbing and loss of color to the spine and bottom and top edges of the outer sleeve, typical wear due to age. There is some very mild ring wear to the top of the rear panel. Please see the second photo for details. Overall, it's a solid outer sleeve. Importantly, there is a gold promo stamp to the upper left corner of the rear panel.
The record itself is Excellent almost near mint on both sides, super shiny like new. There is a very thin and shallow scuff about 1.5 inches long that runs across track 1 and 2 on side A, and a similar scuff on side B that runs across tracks 3 and 4, and a small scuff at the end of track 1 on side B. These are really minor imperfections, you have to look hard for them, and they are so shallow that they don't affect the audio quality. Play graded at ex/nm. Both labels are near mint, beautiful condition. The stampers numbers are SRM-1-1081 A-CT1, and SRM-1-1081 B-CT2. MASTERDISK G.K. is inscribed in the dead wax on both sides, which means that this white label promo was mastered by Gilbert Kong.
The original inner sleeve would be near mint, as both sides have complete color, no rubs or tears, however there is a two inch slit in the bottom edge, a three inch slit in one of the side edges, and a one and a half inch slit in the other side edge so I'll call it VG+. I will ship the record in a Mobile Fidelity sleeve, this is what I do for all my records anyway. Shipping only to the United States, via US Postal Service media mail.
