various -- The Thing From The Crypt (I Nearly Died Laughing) LP

Original 1981 UK release on The Thing From The Crypt Records (UK) (catalog # TTFTC 001), with silk-screen printed cover.

This could very well be the best (imho, together with Welcome To Norwich LP) and most essential DIY/minimal synth, new wave, post punk UK slab of vinyl ever, there are just so many tremendous tracks on here.

First appearence by SAD LOVERS & GIANTS with "Take me inside" (only available in this compilation!) and "Clint" (first demo-like version, not available anywhere else!)

The highlight for me are the two absolutely killer synth-punk SOFT DRINKS tracks (pre-RUDIMENTARY PENI!)... and the really quite bizarre DIY post-punk tracks by GAMBIT OF SHAME and FLYING BEECHCRAFT are keepers... in fact there is not a dud track on the whole comp.

THE THING FROM THE CRYPT RECORDS is an amalgamation of DEAD HEDGEHOG ENTERPRISES, LAST MOVEMENT and OUTER HIMMILAYAH PRODUCTIONS. Cover is hand silkscreened, folded board, not actually a sleeve.

CONDITION: Cover VG++ / Vinyl NM-   excellent shape, price sticker on cover (could most likely be cleanly removed), cover is still bright, just has slight wear; vinyl is extremely clean, a small bit of light surface scuffing, just a little bit of wear, plays great -- NOTE: this copy does not have an insert.

Graded conservatively using Goldmine standards [G / G+ / VG / VG+ / NM / ]
grade only used if record is brand new.
