Album-sized booklet with all track listings, personnel, and b&w photos. Condition: Packaging VG++ a little corner wear on outer box, small tear off of one inner box, smudges and 1/4in. tear on booklet cover. Vinyl: NM, played through maybe 4 times completely. Contents: Complete! 1955-61 Riverside recordings including alternate takes(one complete side of work in progress of "Round Midnight"). Includes albums: "Plays Duke Ellington", "The Unique...", "Brilliant Corners", "Thelonious Himself", "Monk's Music", "Thelonious Monk & John Coltrane", "Misterioso", "Thelonious in Action", "...Orchestra at Town Hall", "5 by Monk by 5", "Alone in San Francisco", "At the Blackhawk" and the rest. As essential as any music in jazz! I've had this in my personal collection since Dec. '87; it's the closest thing I have to a child.
