The Zombies - Odyssey and Oracle Uk 1968 CBS 63280 stereo
This must be one of the most sought after collectable albums on the planet. Despite my love for the album I need to dispose of all my vinyl so here it goes! The Zombies were always one of the most under appreciated bands of their time. This was their masterpiece. This is a very fine copy indeed with only minor faults and I am sure any serious collector would consider it a gem in their library. A near mint copy of this album sold for £632 last May. A very good ++ copy also went for £370. Hence my high, but still modest, starting price.
(This may well be a 1st pressing in stereo I can't confirm that. Matrix for 1st issue in mono was A1 / B1)
Matrix Nos:- Side 1 SBPG 63280 A2 Side 2 SBPG 63280 B2
Vinyl:- Excellent both sides. Some light buff scuffs only. Plays excellent.
Labels:- Some light spindle marks and two names printed small and neat on both sides. (My proud claim of ownership)
Dustcover:- Exc. Original CBS album promo type with some very light creasing only.
Cover:- High gloss laminate front with some light disc rim pressure mark and very slight blistering of laminate near top edge. Back Also with slight rim pressure mark, a small music paper cut out review contemporary with album stuck on top left and a small area top left where a name and address have been lightly scratched out.(see ssecond photo). In my opinion the music review enhances the cover. The corners show only minor wear. Seams and spine excellent plus.
