Description
The Young Men were a well-known group on the Phoenix teen club/high school circuit and their records charted locally. Band member Dave Killingsworth later showed up in a late-1980s line-up of The Tubes.
This is their first 45, released on United World #6947 in January '67. It has a minor pop song "Too Many Times" which charted on KRUX 1360 AM on March 16, 1967. Side 2 contains the catchy, upbeat "Go". It is a close version of the Dave Clark Five's "I'm Thinking", with a reverb-laden "Go!" dubbed in before each verse. They also speed up the tempo, drop the organ part and substitute an excellent guitar solo for the bridge in the DC5 original.
The record is in beautiful condition. Glossy and clean with near perfect labels. Easily EX+! The only issue worth mentioning is very minor edge unevenness in one area that does not affect play. RARE!
