The Who 'Whos Next' Original UK 1971 Track Pressing *MINT*
Up for auction here is an album from 1971 by the Who 'Whos Next' released on Track (this one being an original first pressing with the ungrooved label and housed in its correct MacNeil Press Outer sleeve)- considered The Whos peak along with 'Tommy'; as is often the case with the original releases these usually turn up in true unusable condition, however this one is from a collection whos owner took considerable care of his records, most of which he says he only listened to once or twice during the entire 38 years of owning them as he transfered them to tape shortly after purchasing them. This copy of 'Whos Next would appear to have been treated in this way displaying an incredible 'new' look to the surface of the vinyl and indeed plays exactly how it looks.
Condition:
Side One/ Side Two: Certainly the best original copy I have ever seen of this album, the vinyl truely looks beautiful, not even a hairline to be seen, looked very unused too with the vinyl as mentioned bearing a deep dark black shine not having whitened at all from being played, a grading of Mint Minus.
Labels: Despite showing a couple of the lightest spindle trails to one label the labels look immaculate and undulled, Near Mint.
Outer Sleeve: 1971 was a year where laminating for LP covers was no longer a common practice, thus making wear far more inevitable on these scuff prone matt finished sleeves, this one has been stored and kept remarkably well keeping its shape perfectly with only some extremely light corner fluffing. Excellent Plus.
Inner sleeve : Near Mint.
