Quadrophenia is The Who’s masterpiece album. Townshend’s considerable songwriting talent is at his best along with standout performances from every band member. It’s their most complete work of art. Make no mistake about it, this is one of those albums up there with Exile on Main St., Revolver, Dark Side of the Moon, and Aqualung among the late ’60s/early ’70s British rock pantheon.

The question for fanatical The Who fans is which album release is sonically the best? This has been answered by the most knowledgeable and respected The Who fan of all . . . the venerable WhiteFang:

LP Comments: The Sony (Japan) is absolutely breathtaking. For some reason what Polydor Japan didn't get right (for many of the Who LPs), Sony delivered with precision and excellence.

This OUT OF PRINT vinyl has been twice cleaned (Mint solution) by a Loricraft PRC4 record cleaning machine, rinsed with Fisher Scientific DIUF Water.
