Description
The Who 'Live in Amsterdam' (Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, Sept 9th 1969) RARE double LP set on clear vinyl from the highly regarded Swingin' Pig label (TSP 021 and 022) Issued in 1989. Beautifully packaged in a gatefold sleeve, with each record contained in a deluxe poly-lined inner sleeve, with classic Swingin' Pig artwork from William Stout. Swingin' Pig certainly knew how to present their rarities - much better than the CD versions, in my opinion. NB. both the 2 inner sleeves are identical design - one side with the Pig cartoon, the other with the nice retro 'Long Play 33 1/3 RPM' write-up design. I've tried to show all aspects of the artwork in the photos - I hope this is clear. Sound quality is EXCELLENT and in true stereo - this release gives the Who's 'Live At Leeds' a run for its money as a quality representation of the 'oo in concert. Vinyl is clean and in excellent condition; and the pressing quality is also superb - nice, quiet vinyl (although who wants to play it quietly?!) The record cover shows some signs of wear and rubbing along the edges, but is in good condition generally apart from a small puncture/tear on the top left corner of the rear cover - see detail photograph.
