THE WHO

A QUICK ONE

MONO 593002 Release 1966 Matrix A1/B1 Stampers 1 1 / 1 1

A genuine very first vintage pressing ! IMPOSSIBLE to locate in this truly sensational condition!

Soft textured blue Reaction label format. Flash residue still intact and visible on both sides confirming a minimum playing history. Only a very light spindle trace EX+ condition with NO mottling, NO rips or tears, NO graffiti, NO discoloration, NO fading, NO lifting or peeling…Best example with silver text prominent and clearly visible.

FULLY laminated E J Day single album cover in EX + condition. Glossy lamination tight and with hardly a crease to be seen…... NO feathering to opening edge….NO edge wear visible……Very slight ring wear on reverse only! THE best example I have ever viewed of this very famous first issue sleeve. Spine is absolutely immaculate, and I seldom use that word in my descriptions…. Tapered edges perfectly aligned!A stunning album sleeve with the psychedelic colours on front face absolutely staggering ,projecting in eye catching fashion with 100% vibrancy. A W E S O M E …

Vinyl

Glass like surfaces with only one or two extremely light hairlines and one longer scuff visible for the most of the last track of  side one ONLY !!! Remarkable visual with that fresh pressed feel.Examined under ordinary light. Ultra clean. Thickly pressed, heavy weight giant....Gives a buzz when held.

Original poly lined inner sleeve excellent with age discoloration only found on outer edges.

Audio

Excellent with mostly very clear channels . Monotone perspective truly awesome with tones delivered with a warm punch and a definitive edge. Surface detected between tracks and linking grooves but does little to affect the music presentation. NO distortion and will not disappoint.

From the start, Run Run Run, propels you into a frenzied rock ballad with excellent audio channels, where there is very little surface disturbance, if any! Amazing tones. Gets even better with Boris the Spider as the iron grating sounds resonate superbly well through these distinctive wider channels that only these very first UK presses can convey ! Perhaps a hint of static very occasionally, but truth be known, I am unable to fault this audio very much at all... Its sensational...The bass tones are absolutely incredible, NO hisses. NO pops ! No audible scratches! Almost impossible to find in this condition. A real beauty….

Will not get better than this.Don't really want to part with this monster of a record..

Absolutely stunning and sheer investment quality.
