This is of interest to all Mods / New Wave and Power Pop Fans and collectors of late 70s music.
Absolute Classic. Snappy Guitars Melodic Harmonies etc. A burst of Britpop 20 years too soon.
You are bidding for the following extremely rare 7 inch Single.
The Trend - A side - Teenage Crush. B side - Cool Johnny
Trendy Records - 1979 TREND 001.
Only 2000 were released.
No picture sleeve was issued and this is simply in a brown cover.
I have owned it since 1979 and therefore it has obviously been played and enjoyed. However, as with all my treasured collection it is in good condition.
Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide lists this at £50.
I am pricing to sell to eith a dealer or collector.
This was The Trends first single and only single released on their own Trendy Label. In 1980 they were signed by MCA and released 3 more sinles on this label.
The Trend hailed from Manchester and developed from a rock background - Thet were hard gigging and built up a strong local following.
I had the pleasure of seeing them live at their regular residency at the Duke of Wellington - Swinton. I was only 14.
