This auction is for: The Tears  45 Rare Sacramento Garage Psych Band

Side 1: Weatherman
Side 2: Read All About It


Condition:

I have personally owned this record since 1966. However, I am not a collector or familiar with grading/condition. I will describe it to the best of my ability. Please review the photos carefully since they will constitute the description.


On one side, there is a small handwritten note that says "December 1966." There are no visible scratches, but there is a mark that I do not believe will affect the sound quality. However, I have no way of testing the record.


In the photos there are some very tiny white 'dots'. Upon visual inspection, I do not see these dots on the record, so I presume they are from my camera screen. There are some etchings (code?) on the 'non-recorded' (non-grooved) part of the record which I think were added at the record factory, but I do not know that for sure, nor do I know what the codes may be for. There are also a couple of small marks on the label. From a smoke free and pet free home.

The Tears were formed in Sacramento, California in 1964, by Brothers Robert (R.T.) and Richard Salazar.

They were best known for the two-sided killer Weatherman b/w Read All About It. They were extremely popular in the San Francisco Bay area. The label on this record is Scorpio. Arranged by Eric Wangberg for Satellite Productions.

This 45rpm record has been owned by me since I was a preteen girl in Sacramento, California in the 1960's. I have recently moved, am in the process of downsizing, and no longer have a turntable so I am selling my records.
