Description
Supremely rare ORIGINAL UK VINYL pressing of The Strokes seminal punk album 'This is It' from 2001, released on legendary Rough Trade Records.
The Strokes burst onto the scene in 2000, teeming with of New York attitude and with a raft of brilliant, punchy songs that seemed to incorporate the most incendiary sounds of the 70's (Television, Talking Heads, Velvet Underground, Josef K, Orange Juice), while creating an audio riot all of their own.
I have owned this LP since the day of release, and included are three incredibly rare artifacts: an original Strokes promotional badge (given to me by the record shop when I bought the album), plus the original (raving) reviews of the record from the Guardian (by Alexis Petridis) and the NME.
Being such a seminal record, it's a wonderful bonus to have the critical perspective enclosed as archival documentation. There can't be many of these around and they make a valuable addition to an already collectible vinyl record. Very slight wear to sleeve, Record collector grading EX. Vinyl shows signs of wear with scratches across the width of the platter, however these do not affect play or audio quality in any way. As such, vinyl grades VG.
Grab this opportunity to own a piece of rock and roll history. This is the UK FIRST PRESS on Rough Trade and is incredibly scarce, especially with the extras!
