This listing is for an original UK release of the classic Manchester anthem Sally Cinnamon. Originally only available on 7 Inch in Germany, a UK version of the German single was released in 1989, 2 years later and therefore quite rare.
Remember until Sally your record collection wasn't happy :)
Although not sent to me from heaven this has been in a friends loft since the 80's and is a great find.
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - VG/VG+ Somewhere in between VG and VG+. Due to being in long term storage for 20 years the record could do with a machine clean to bring out the glossy finish and clear the grooves. There are a few whisper lines and light scratches but no deep scratches or other defects. Labels are in good condition with just the expected spindle marks under a bright light.
Record Audio - VG+ There is a little surface noise on initial run in but this soon clears so suggesting just dirt from handling so a machine clean should clear this up nicely. Sound quality is excellent nice clarity and mid range that you just don't get on the CD's. The Roses have always suffered with poor production in my opinion but it is part of their charm.
Record Sleeve - VG+ Although these are a very low quality paper sleeve this example has lasted well for being over 30 years old. No damage, tears or rips just a few white marks on the edge where the ink has worn. Very nice almost Near Mint.
