The Stiff Box Set - 10 X 7" - in original box
This set is the original first issue - not either of the 2 second issues. The box set includes the first ten 7" 45's issued by Stiff including the original picture sleeves. The Richard Hell sleeve is individually numbered 9128 - see pic. The sale includes the very rare information sheet which describes each record. The black box is not numbered (the second issue boxes are numbered).
Stiff Records - there does not appear to be a part number for this 10 record set.

Stiff singles box 1 (black box).
Limited edition box set of the first ten singles on Stiff Records in original sleeves. (BUY 1 - 10). It is not known how many of these were made, but it is thought to be less than the 5000 first issue boxes. As was the case with the first issue boxes, some were broken up by Stiff and the records sent out individually by mail order.
Differences between first issue and this (second issue) set:
Issue 2 is numbered, whereas issue 1 was not.
Issue 2 does not include an info sheet. Issue 1 does (sheet lists the records with a description of each).
Issue 2 has 'Made in England' on the back of the box and on the record labels. Issue 1 does not have this information.
Issue 2 has curved cut-outs on the sleeves, whereas issue 1 has the straight cut-outs.
The Richard Hell record (BUY 7) is numbered 0001 in all second issue sets, but is stamped with an actually number (above 5000) in issue 1 sets.
The sleeves in issue 2 are thicker (the records fill up the box), whereas issue 1 has noticeably thinner sleeves, making the box look 'not quite full'.

This 45 RPM 7" set of 10 records was released in 1977-1978. The records have never been played. The original picture sleeves are in MINT condition. The records is in MINT condition. The information sheet is in MINT condition. The flimsy black box top is in VG+ condition, not having fared well in storage while the bottom is in MINT- condition. There are creases and 2 corners are torn in the top...see pics. This set has been kept in a closed box since purchase. If applicable, any rings that you might think are on the picture sleeves are actually on the plastic outer sleeve, not on the well protected picture sleeves unless stated otherwise. Please examine the picture carefully. It constitutes a good part of the description.
