The Smiths - 'Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before' Holland 12" - 1987

This track was never released as a single in the UK, as originally intended, but was released in the 12" single format only in Germany, Australia and, as seen here, Holland. Each of these releases had different coloured sleeves accompanying the Murray Head artwork. Released in a red sleeve in Germany and a yellow/orange sleeve in Australia, this Dutch release was given a subtle shade of grey and was placed at Number 70 in the 2005 'Smiths Top 100 Rarities' Record Collector article. This is a terrific Smiths collectable which does not appear for sale very often, and this particular copy is an original pressing which is in superb condition (as detailed below) with the record having been stored outside of its sleeve since being in my possession.The vinyl and labels are in near mint condition, with no discernable marks on the highly-glossy vinyl which appears to have never been played. The grey outer sleeve is in strong excellent condition and has a very impressive appearance with no marks, creases or significant signs of wear. There is just some mild 'corner wear' in a few places, but all edges remain sharp with no splitting. The sleeve also retains its original glossy appearance. A very nice example of this rare original 1980s collectable. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
