Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

The Smiths - 'Panic' 12'' With Promotional Sticker Sheet - 1986

The very first pressing run of this 12" single were issued with a sheet of nine rectangular promotional stickers of three different types on the same sheet; these stickers were exclusive to this release (since the 7" equivalent was accompanied by smaller circular stickers). Due to the fact that only the very first run came with these stickers, it is now very difficult to find copies which have an intact sticker sheet; many of the stickers clearly would have been peeled off and used at the time of release. The record is indeed a first-run press as indicated by the "RTT 193 A1" and "RTT 193 B1" hand-etched matrix numbers on the run-out grooves, and this auction offers a rare opportunity to obtain this release which is both complete and in practically mint condition (see below).The vinyl and labels are in superb near mint condition, having been played just a few times but bearing only the very lightest of 'hairline' superficial surface marks which are just visible on the glossy vinyl if the record is held to the light. The sleeve is also in terrific near mint condition, with strong sharp edges and just one corner with mild wear; there is no seam-splitting and no creases, writing or other signs of damage. The sleeve is perfectly flat and glossy, and looks great. The original light blue inner sleeve is also present and has no splits or marks. The rare and sought-after sticker sheet is also intact and completely flat with no rips or tears and no marks; it is therefore in superb near mint condition also. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
