Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

The Smiths - 'Panic' 7'' With Promotional Stickers - 1986

Only the very first pressings of this 7" single were issued with a sheet of six circular promotional stickers of three different designs; these stickers were exclusive to this release (since the 12" equivalent was accompanied by rectangular stickers). Due to the fact that only the first run carried the stickers, it is now very difficult to find copies which have an intact sticker sheet; many of these stickers clearly would have been peeled off and used at the time. What is more, the 7" sticker sheet appears much less often for sale than the 12" counterpart and therefore seems very likely to have been produced in smaller numbers. The record is a first-run press as indicated by the "RT 193 A1" and "RT 193 B1" hand-etched matrix numbers on the run-out grooves, and this auction offers a rare opportunity to obtain this release which is both complete and in superb condition (see below).The record is in tremendous near mint condition, appearing unplayed and having not even the lightest of surface marks on the highly-glossy vinyl. The glossy outer sleeve is also in near mint condition, with no creasing or other signs of handling; there is not even any 'corner wear' to speak of. The sticker sheet is also intact, unmarked and undamaged and therefore also in near mint condition. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail of the actual item being auctioned; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
