Description

Welcome to my Morrissey/Marr & The Smiths vinyl records (and other bits) auctions!

I have decided to sell my entire collection that I have accumulated since I first bought This Charming Man from Woolworths way back when...

I just don’t play them so it’s time they found new homes.

I’ve kept the original LP’s but am parting with duplicates.

All these records have been stored upright in plastic sleeves and have been lovingly looked after.

I have tried to describe them as best I can but some of these records are nearly 40 years old!!! Some will benefit from a good clean but, as a collector, I wouldn’t have any rubbish in my collection so you can assume they are pretty fine all round. Defects will be highlighted.

If you have any questions, please ask BEFORE the auction finishes.

You are more than welcome to submit sensible offers but please don’t be offended if I decline.

I try to post within 2 working days of payment being received but this is dependent on my work.

Please see my other items for more Smiths and Smiths related stuff.

The Smiths - Hang the DJ (thrice) - rare live compilation blue vinyl LP.

Record has been opened and played once!

The vinyl/sleeve rating is: NM/NM (I grade all my records using the vinyl grading system below).

If you would like me to play test the record I am happy to do so. Please ask before you buy as its hard (and costly) to rectify errors afterwards.

RECORD COLLECTOR'S GRADING SYSTEM

Mint

Description: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent

Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good

Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good

Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair

Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor

Description: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad

Description: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
