Description

This is an original and authentic Rough Trade UK promo poster for the Smiths "Ask" single - I purchased a group of Smiths promo posters in 1998 or 99 from a person in London who worked for Rough Trade in the late '80s who was clearing out his gigantic collection.  

I had this poster professionally dry mounted and framed about 6 years ago.  It was originally folded, as all Rough Trade promo posters of this size were.  The dry mounting process completely took the crease out of the center of the poster.  It is perfectly done - the poster was in mint condition when I had it done.  The frame is high quality 3/4" black wood.  There is no warping of the frame at all.  The back of the frame can be seen in the photos - again, perfectly done and still in excellent shape.  

There is no fading or marks on the poster because there is a very light clear coat over the surface.  It looks really great.  

I paid a hefty price for this poster in the late '90s, and the dry mounting and framing itself for just this poster was close to $100.  

The frame measures 12.5" wide by 25.5" tall.
