Description
This is a vinyl pressing of The Shades Of Black Lightning - Same on the Tower label from 1968. It's pretty decent psychedelic soul funk. Hot bass lines, horns, soulful vocals etc. Cover is VG with some general wear, split on bottom seam, tiny cutout hole, small name ( Kristin Jakich ) stamped on front cover, & Kristin Glovacki in small handwriting on back cover. Vinyl is VG. Side 1 plays with background noise. It's evident between songs & in quiet spots. The rest of the time it's there but tough to hear over the music. Side 2 has light background noise. It plays closer to VG+. There are NO skips, no pops, no clicks or ticks. The worst of it is on the dead vinyl leading up to the first tune which. It's one hell of a good song ! The vinyl looks visually to be in not bad condition at all. It just has some light marks & no real scratches. The vinyl may just need a good, deep cleaning with a VPI machine or something similar. It may play much better afterwards.

I also place a cardboard support inside the mailer for protection and to help prevent any bending. Records are removed from their covers and both are placed in a protective, clear plastic outer sleeve. It's a tried and true method that has never been improved upon.
