Description

A limited edition box set containing an original symphony written by Paul Frith and performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in May of 2016. The music accompanies 2 books containing the photography of expedition photographer Frank Hurley; the music and images join to celebrate one of the greatest histories of human spirit, leadership, and survival that has ever been recorded- The Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition of 1914 led by Sir Ernest Shackleton!
Each of the 4 LP's contains a symphonic movement on one side and a beautiful etching on the other. The 2 large books contain incredible photographs from the expedition, newspaper headlines, postcards, map routes, along with the original scores from the symphony and notes from the composer!
