Description
After all the questions, interest and excitement around this error I went back to my local record store and bought the rest of the copies they had (they hadn't sold another since I bought the first one).
Of the remaining 4 there was 1 more error so I'm offering it up to the collectors. There won't be anymore from me and from what I see on ebay this might be the last one in general. I don't think there are more than a handful of these around. So don't miss out on what could be your LAST CHANCE!!
Went out to my local so. cal record store and bought the newest Third Man release available (my Conan is in the mail supposedly and I couldn't make it to Nashville to stand in line). Bought The Secret Sisters, which is a really cool single. Their version of Johnny Cash's Big River with basically 3 of the 4 Raconteurs behind them rocks! Wabash Cannonball is great. Lots of different instruments including the Autoharp (played by Joe Gillis- Jack White's brother?!) and also backed by 3 of the 4 Raconteurs. This album is worth the price just the way it is...
But...
This album is special. No it's not the tri-color which is rare! I mean there are only 150 of them.
This album is MISLABELED! It has the normal Secret Sisters Big River A-side, but the Conan O'Brien interview by Jack White label on the B-side, yet it plays Wabash Cannonball by The Secret Sisters.
I contacted Ben Blackwell aka Pinball Wizard at Third Man Records today and asked him about this...
He told me there was LESS THAN 100 of these. That makes it RARER than ANY TRI-COLOR release yet. RARER than any Black and Blue. RARER than the hand-painted Dead Weather test pressings.
Now those are all pretty cool and in some cases maybe cooler! But you can't deny that this is a must for any Third Man Records fan!
