This auction is for the The Savage Resurrection album titled "The Savage Resurrection" pressed in stereo and released by Mercury Records (SR-61156) in the USA in 1968 featuring 11 very psychedelic tracks. The record is VG++ or slightly better, with mint record labels, contained in a VG++ Mercury advertisement inner sleeve. The single sleeve record jacket is VG++, looks near mint. The record jacket has no holes, cuts, splits, dings, rings, creases, bends, tears, edge wear, water stains or water damage of any kind, writing of any kind, tape or tape marks, and no bar code. This is one of the most obscure San Francisco Bay-area psychedelic groups to release an album on a major label, the Savage Resurrection released one LP in 1968 before breaking up in a blitz of personnel and business problems. The Savage Resurrection were also one of the youngest psychedelic bands performing in the Bay Area circuit; one of their dual lead guitarists, Randy Hammon, was only sixteen when they recorded their album. Formed in the East Bay town of Richmond (near Berkeley) by members of several teen rock groups in 1967, they played psychedelic hard rock that drew heavily not just from San Francisco acts but also from Jimi Hendrix and the blues, as well as occasional lighter touches of more folk-rock-oriented riffs. They produced their self-titled album over the course of three days which sounded rawer and punkier than most psychedelic bands. Some numbers on the resulting LP were heavy blues-rockers; others had more unexpected chord shifts and song structures to anchor their molten-intensity lead guitar riffing. These were flashes of promise, especially considering their extreme youth. Bill Harper and bassist Steve Lage left shortly after the album came out. With replacements the Savage Resurrection managed to do a little touring in the midwest before breaking up later in 1968. Paypal is the acceptable form of payment. The handling time is usually about 3 business days but could be as much as 5 business days due to my regular employment. There is no specific return policy.
