Their Satanic Majesties Request, TXL 103, Mono. True First Uk Press.
The landmark 3D lenticular fronted gatefold is in EX+ condition. Bright and vibrant as if just issued. Slight bend owing the 3D lenticular frontage. Laminate wrinkles bottom left. Otherwise perfect in every sense The custom inner red with white clouds is in EX+ condition. No rips, intact, only very light corner creases. Fragile but oh so well preserved over the years
Side 1 ARL-8126-1P Label is EX+ or -NM Vinyl is at an EX or better grade with one light mark transcending 1/2. Otherwise this playing surface would have been -NM. Virtually flawless outside of the stated. Stunning newly pressed lustre Looks to me that this side was played only a limited number of times during which an original slightly clumsy owner incurred the mentioned light mark because that aside, it really looks spotless Side 2 ARL-8127-1P Label is EX+ or -NM Vinyl itself looks as stated and described for side 1 but without the mark.
I just play tested the LP for your benefit.
The mark on side 1 b/w track 1 causes literally a milli-second skip which i only picked up after numerous re-test plays midway through track 1, "Sing This All Together". Barely detectable. The rest of the record plays as it would after limited plays, no background in quiet parts, and as good as one could hope, clean and true mono. Note that i have my stylus weighted light. Playback is EX+. If you wish, should you not agree with my audio grading, i will offer a full refund provided you pay postage back (i will paying postage out), and as long as it is returned as sent.
True first press matrix numbers:———
The mono LP of Satanic exists in two different versions. The original master tape was mixed two times, the first one was used for mono records only and the second one was used both for mono and stereo records. The two mixes used for pressing mono records can be identified by the matrix number
The first mix that was used on mono records has the following matrix number:
ARL-8126-1P on side one and ARL-8127-P1 on side two
The second mix that was used on later mono records and on all stereo records has:
Mono: ARL-8126-T2-2K for side one and ARL-8127-T2-2K for side two
Stereo: ZAL-8126-T2-5K for side one and ZAL-8127-T2-5K for side two
A Stunning all round example of this rare record. Well worth the start price. The cover and custom inner defy the 51 years. Aside of the aforementioned, this record would have been a secure Near Mint minus.

IMPORTANT: These are the true first press inboxed mono matrix numbers. Don't be fooled by other listings claiming to be first pressings but with higher matrix numbers
Final point of note. I accept that record grading can be subjective so I do try and give a conservative estimate followed by the more realistic grading as applicable. This is in order to minimize being too optimistic. Please pay particular need to the pictures that I have included as a picture says a thousand words. By using your zoom capability you should be able to see the item up close and personal and this should form the main basis of your assertion. That being said, I have sold many high value records with no issues and my feedback will attest to that. So as a seller I aim to be as accurate as possible in describing the listed item and my hope is always that I end up with a satisfied buyer. That being said, buyers also have a responsibility to study the listing and I always encourage the use of zooming in for further detail as I do not do returns on high value records. Final point of note, I do not do part refunds and will not be held to ransom. My intentions are honourable and I look for likewise in the buyer.
