The Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers A3/B3 1st Press UK Vinyl Record COC 59100 Zip.
Released on 23rd April 1971, the serious collectors will know this is the earliest first pressing A3/B3. Pressed before the album was released from first generation laquers. There were no earlier matrix numbers. The condition of the vinyl speaks for itself, just beautiful.
All first pressings of this album have T.M.L. ROLLING STONES RECORDS hand-etched in the runout grooves (The Mastering Lab). Later pressings were not pressed there and suffer from a far less dymanic sound. There is a world of difference in the soundscape once compared to any other pressing. It is subtle but definitive.
The sleeve has aged very well indeed for a 1971 album. The zipper is small and square as it should be. The following iteration was the round PAN zipper.
If you’re after this pressing, I very much doubt you’ll find a better example for some time. Sad to let this go. In fact I’m quite happy to have it framed! Good luck, I hope it goes to a great home.
