Description
The Rolling Stones - Complete boxed set of Original Master Recordings from Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab. Limted Edition number: 1941
This set was produced by MoFi from the original master tapes of 8 of the Stones original Decca studio albums, the YaYa's live album, and Hot Rocks double album.
The set is complete, with the booklet illustrating all the album covers, including the original Beggars Banquet cover, a reproduction of the Satanic Majesties 3D picture, and interviews with some of the original recording engineers.
Also included is the MoFi certificate and other printed matter, and the Geodisc in its cardboard case.
This sample was purchased new by me in 1990/1991 and has rarely been out of the box.
Condition:
All the discs are in as-bought condition. They all have the MoFi shine (and smell!), are clean and warp-free.
The respective red sleeves are free of dents, rips and creases. There are a few scratches on some the sleeve edges (see photos). The inner white cardboard sleeves and rice-paper bags are all present and are in excellent condition.
The case is in excellent condition. There is one small manufacturing defect on the right hand side at the bottom edge. It is only really noticeable when the light is at a certain angle (see 1st picture.) The catch and hinges are in excellent order.
The front cover of the booklet has slightly warped (see photo), but I believe this is not unusual and is due to the plastic 3D picture stuck to the front. The remainder of the booklet is in very good condition and is free of other creases, rips, tears and finger-marks, and still has the plain paper covering stapled to it.
The GEODISC and its sleeve are in excellent condition.
