One of the rarest to come by and collectible issues of The Rolling Stones’ two singles “Heart of Stone” and “What a Shame” released on London Records in December, 1964. This EP contains the third, in terms of rarity, The Rolling Stones picture sleeve, which is in great condition and is graded somewhere in between Excellent Plus and Near Mint Minus. I think finding this picture sleeve in great condition presents quite a difficulty. 1st print picture sleeve contains the original “Produced by Andrew Loog Oldham for Impact Sound” credit in the lower left-hand corner on both sides. Original 1st print white-purple London Records “Made in U.S.A.” labels with the “45-LON 9725” catalog number and no “Pub;” above the publishing information in the left ovals. The producer credit that has already been mentioned above in relation to the cover can also be found on the labels in the right oval, below the catalog number. The labels contain one unique feature by indicating the matrix numbers “DR 34773 / DR 34777” below the “Made in U.S.A.” text. The vinyl is also in great condition and was pressed at the Monarch pressing plant, Los Angeles containing the factory identifier in the form of an “MR” machine stamp in the runout grooves on both sides, as well as the standard processing (plating/metalwork) “△” delta number. The matrix numbers have the 1st pressing -1E / -1E stampers with the full numbers being as follows: Side 1 (Heart of Stone) – DR 34777-1E △55395 MR in a Circle; Side 2 (What A Shame) – DR-34773-1E R △55394 MR in a Circle.

We grade the vinyl as Near Mint Minus and it practically doesn't have any hairlines or marks, only a few small and barely noticeable scuffs from the picture sleeve which is somewhere in between Excellent Plus and Near Mint Minus. The clean labels are in Near Mint Minus condition and don't have any scuffs or wear.
