Description

A 1st pressing of Gimme Shelter on the UK Decca label from August 1971. Matrix 1W/1W. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Robert Stace. Please note early pressings of this record mention the title track as 'GIMMIE' on the record label. This typo was subsequently corrected on all later reissues. Also included is the original blue and white Decca inner sleeve date code 08/71 - the month of release. So, this is 100% original and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb shape and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Please note this is genuine stereo to stereo mastering no other shenanigans - this is the real deal and cut by Decca who are the experts. The audio quality is spectacularly good - clear through all frequencies and great detail. Interference is minimal - we detected nothing more than a couple of crackles the whole way through [literally].
Cover (Ex+) Someone has really looked after this cover carefully down the years. A perfectly shiny front cover without creasing or laminate lift. And a rear almost completely free of ageing. It practically has a new feel to it. The openings are still sharp and edge wear is practically non-existent. The spine is 100% intact an the cover retains excellent rigidity. Difficult to imagine bettering.
Inner (Ex+) No splits and almost no ageing.

Any purchase is guaranteed to get to you quickly, safely, and with total satisfaction, or your money back.
