Description

An original 1st stereo press of BTBs on the UK Decca label. Matrix 4k/4k. Stampers - 1C/1C >> Implying that this copy is from within the first couple of thousand copies ever pressed. Please note that the labels exhibit the Decca deep-groove only found on the very 1st presses. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original James Upton cover. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks either side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Very nice player of this hard to find stereo 1st press. Interference is relatively minor and infrequent. By and large we're getting a nice clean rendition, but there are a couple of tracks on side 1 [e.g. yesterday's papers] where we're detecting just a bit of light static in places. Nothing invasive or persistent. It's a great little player and, whilst not perfect, delivers these STONES classics in a very addictive way!
Cover (Vg) Ok, so it's not up to the standard of the LP, but just on rarity alone - more than satisfactory. Nice clean front with a bit of creasing over toward the opening. The rear has aged in places - as is common - but it's still passable. Please note there's a name written in the top-left corner. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine seems to still be all legible. Over all the cover still retains very goo rigidity.
Inner (Ex+) Hardly aged at all. No splits or markings at all.
