The Roches The Roches 12" Red Vinyl Limited Edition RSD Reissue New & Sealed
About this item
The Roches – The Roches is the acclaimed self titled debut album from the New York sister trio, originally released in 1979 and produced by Robert Fripp. Blending intricate three part harmonies with witty and intimate songwriting, folk rock arrangements and an unmistakably offbeat sense of humour, the album showcases Maggie, Terre and Suzzy Roches at their most inventive, with their closely woven vocals providing its defining character. The record features favourites including “Hammond Song,” “The Married Men,” “Runs In The Family” and “The Train,” capturing the distinctive sound that has made the album a cult favourite among listeners of folk rock, alternative songwriting and harmony led vocal music. This Record Store Day 2024 edition was issued by Real Gone Music under catalogue number RGM1664, presenting the complete original ten track album on striking ruby red vinyl. Limited to just 1,500 copies worldwide, the 12 inch LP runs at 33⅓ RPM and includes a printed inner sleeve featuring the album's lyrics. A beautifully presented reissue of an unusual and enduring late 1970s album, and a particularly appealing collectible for Roches fans and Record Store Day vinyl collectors.
