Description

The Rivieras on Riviera Records 701. "Campus Party"
Cover is in VG+ condition. (very solid with no seam splits)
Record is in G condition. (record has a lot of scuff marks and
most of them are unfeel-able but there are also some feel-able
scratches as well. labels look good. The record plays much much
better than it looks like it would and is still very listenable. it plays
with some surface noise obviously but it isn't that bad at all) This
is the second LP release by this surf / garage / frat rock band and it
was released in 1965. It is much harder to find then their first LP release
from 1964 because this LP was released on the band's own private press
label. This LP is also autographed by the members of the band. All of the
band members signed the record except for Jeff McKnew who was the
rhythm guitar player. It also appears that the band members each signed
the LP cover twice for some reason. This record is an excellent garage / surf /
frat rock LP that includes a lot of great songs and an updated version of their
hit song titled "California Sun '65." It also includes a cover version of the Kingsmen's
song "Louie Louie" that is seven minutes long!

GRADING OF RECORDS

NEAR MINT – record is ‘like new” very clean with only possibly the most minor and superficial of marks.
VG++ record has only very minor surface marks and wear and is in excellent condition.
VG+ record shows some surface marks but the record is still in relatively good shape. no feel-able scratches
VG record shows a fair amount of wear. may have feel-able scratches
G record shows excessive wear.
