Reissue label Mississippi Records collects various singles from one of the the key pre-Dead Moon ensembles from DM head honcho Fred Cole. In addition to coming closest to Dead Moon's gutbucket AC/DC-in-the-garage sound (with maybe a touch of X-style country for good measure), the Rats were also the first outfit to find Fred teaming up with wife and rock & roll partner in crime Toody Cole. INTERMETTENT SINGLES makes for an essential companion volume to Mississippi's self-titled Rats LP reissue. Both are extremely limited but well worth the search.
