Description

Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting records in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. I may have obscure things that you didn't even know you wanted!

I bought this new, when it came out - have kept it in a poly sleeve ever since, excellent condition.

Pictures are my own photos of the items for sale. Photos are part of the description, have a good look.

Cover - is triple gatefold, in excellent condition. There's the beginning of a small split in one of the top edges, due to record bumping against it from inside. There are a pair of shiny card inners (3rd picture), in excellent condition.

Records - heavyweight vinyl. Although kept with care, some flaws - side one has a big light scuff (light scratches), and a small surface mark at the end of track 1 / start of track 2. Side two has surface marks on track 3. On side three I see a tiny stylus impact at the end of track 2. On side four, there are surface marks on track 2 and (mainly) track 3, and a small light scratch at end of track 2 going into track 3. I wondered what effect the above mentioned flaws have on the listening experience, so I have play-tested the whole album. Generally excellent! Side one has a few crackles - mostly quiet ones - during the quiet ending of track 2 and a couple more in the start of the next track - otherwise side plays flawlessly. No problems at all on side two. On side three, 3 or 4 clicks in the quiet ending of track 2, and two or three clicks on similar quiet ending of track 3. On side four, a few crackles at the beginning of track 1, and one crackle later in the track. A few quiet crackles at start of track 2. The scratch that I mentioned at end of track 2 causes a few hard clicks right at the end of the track. Last song is the story "Carolina Drama", you may hear a few quiet crackles during a quiet bit of female vocal, and a few quiet crackles in the ending, which Jack sings unaccompanied. So this boils-down to the record being about 98% totally trouble-free, and generally the trouble isn't very troubling!

I have been collecting records for 50 years (when finances allowed!), and now it's time to sell-up. I bought them mostly around local shops (second-hand), but sometimes from e-bay, and sometimes new, for my favourite bands.

When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.

Postage at cost within UK - £3.00 plus 50p for a proper record mailer Happy to do combined postage wherever practical. I'll charge you what it costs me - so anything up to six (or so) LPs still the same £3.50.

I'm happy to send this overseas. See below for details, if bidding from outside UK - you need to know this stuff. Overseas customers - DON'T request an invoice, it screws-up the e-bay system.

Dispatch will usually be "next day".

Collection in person is welcome.

I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.

They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.

This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.

E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges, then do not bid.

International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.

If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid.

International postage to the following countries will be shown (this is the latest list that I've seen - lotta countries!)

Australia Austria Belgium Bulgaria Canada Croatia Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Finland France Germany Greece Hungary Ireland Israel Italy Japan Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Netherlands New Zealand Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand Turkey Norway Poland Portugal Romania Russia Slovakia Slovenia Spain Sweden, United States, Antigua & Barbuda Aruba Bangladesh Barbados Belize Bermuda Bolivia Brunei Darussalam Cambodia Cayman Islands Dominica Ecuador Egypt French Guiana Gibraltar Grenada Guadeloupe Guernsey Iceland Jersey Jordan Liechtenstein Macau Maldives Martinique Monaco Montserrat Nicaragua Oman Pakistan Paraguay Peru Reunion Saint Kitts & Nevis Saint Lucia Sri Lanka and Turks & Caicos Islands

International postage plus applicable customs charges will probably be shown to buyers in the following non-EU countries - E-Bay collects customs duty for the receiving country: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Russia and USA, and wherever else import duty is appropriate - e.g. Norway. I don't send to China.
