The RPM’s, White Lightnin' b/w Down - 1966, Garage Rock 7" - VG+, Promo Copy

This is a very nice copy of a pretty rare garage rock single by a band called the RPM's.  The a-side is White Lightnin' (It's Frightnin') and the b-side is Down - the record was released on Ambassador Records in 1966.  What makes this one really special is that it is a promotional copy/not for sale.  It has the "NOT FOR SALE" verbiage on both side A & B.  Musically, this is just awesome...fuzzed out garage rock.  A great tune all around.  The b-side is also good, but doesn't rock as hard.  

Condition-wise, this is in really nice shape:

Sleeve: n/a - the original sleeve is not on this record (not sure what if any sleeve it originally had).  I have put it in a brand new paper sleeve and put that inside a 4mm poly outer sleeve.

Vinyl: VG+, very clean and shiny.  Label has some very light handling wear (especially right around the spindle hole), but nothing noteworthy.  Actual vinyl has a few light scratches - visually I would probably call it a VG.  I have play tested both side all the way through though and on my player (AT LP-120) with only three small pops on Side A - it sounds fantastic.  Very clear, no background noise.  Maybe a slight bit of crackle as the songs faded out.  Overall great playability, so I'm going to say this jumps over the bar to a weak VG+.
