This 2-LP set was recorded at the Rainbow Theatre, London, on December 31, 1977, and originally released in April 1979. It's Alive captures the phenomena of the Ramones at their peak and in their element: live and sweaty.
A manic crowd, and a set containing 28 classics including  "Rockaway Beach," "Teenage Lobotomy," "I Wanna Be Well,"  "Rocket To Russia," "Road To Ruin" and "Blitzkrieg Bop" -  Hey ho, let's go!  It's just pure rock and roll energy.
It's Alive is not just the best Ramones album, it is easily the best live punk-rock album of all time, and considered one of the best live albums in the history of rock 'n' roll.

Four concerts at the Rainbow Theatre were recorded, but the New Year's Eve performance was chosen because ten rows of seats were thrown at the stage after the concert and it was considered the best of the performances at the venue.
