By 1967, The Pretty Things had become immersed in the UK underground psychedelic scene, developing a more harmony-led, experimental sound. Parachute was the bands fifth album released in 1970 and was the first album without Mick Taylor. It shows the Pretty Things at their most mature both lyrically and musically. Both SF Sorrow and Parachute have since become classics and continue to remain so.
Sleeve: Issued in a unipak fold open cover, light signs of handling, fully readable spine, very light edge /corner rub. Name on front just visible and corner cut (common occurrence on US albums). Middle fold in nice condition (see photos for full clarification) graded strong VG+
Labels: Classic Rare Earth labels, clean no marks,tears or writing (see photos) graded EX
Vinyl: Visually both sides retain a nice sheen, look EX. Closer inspection of S1 reveals a couple of needle tracers/wispy lines and one small (non-feel-able) scratch at the end of the last track. Audio: Plays through clean, solid audio, extremely light dust crackle in between a couple of tracks and the aforementioned scratch that causes light ticks (that do not overpower) right at the end of T5 S1. No sticks, jumps or skips (played on a Pro-Ject carbon - blue Ortofon) graded EX-

I am a collector for 47+ years the few records I sell are either the results of upgrades, duplicates or a bit of thinning every now and again. I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - for addition guidance:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
