Cover: Front-laminated flip-back cover, printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. No creases, no ringwear, no edge-wear and no seam splits. The opening is perfectly straight with no feathering. Other than a miniscule amount of wear right at the very tips of the corners, the spine is near-perfect with all text crystal clear. A superb cover for its age; strictly graded as near-mint.
Inner Sleeve: Original HMV poly-lined advertising sleeve in glorious colour. The sleeve has a few creases, but no other signs of wear and all seams are intact.
Labels: Original “His Master’s Voice” labels with the “O” “T” tax code stamped around the spindle hole on side 1. There is a factory sample sticker on side 2, but otherwise, the labels are in superb condition with no evidence of spindle wear whatsoever.
Vinyl: Original heavyweight (164 grams) vinyl, which looks near-mint. There is some low-level background surface noise throughout, but this only really noticeable in-between tracks and does not detract from the music, which plays through without any skips, ticks, pops or distortion. Given the virtually unplayed condition of the vinyl and the labels, I’m inclined to say that the surface noise is actually inherent in this pressing. Nevertheless, strictly graded as EX+ for side 1 and EX for side 2 due to the low-level surface noise.
Additional Info: All of the vinyl that I am selling is from my personal collection, and has been cleaned on a VPI HW 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine. After cleaning, I keep my records in ‘Mobile Fidelity’ rice paper inner sleeves and store them with the records outside of the covers.
