Description
The One-Time Syncopated Codpiece – Once More With Feeling (Mono, UK Private Press, 1972)
John Hassell Recordings – HAS LP 1195 – Play-Tested
Scarce UK private pressing from 1972 on the light blue John Hassell Recordings label (Mono, HAS LP 1195). This eccentric folk/folk-rock LP by *The One-Time Syncopated Codpiece* blends offbeat humour, whimsical storytelling, and a variety of acoustic styles – a unique document of the early 1970s private press scene.
This copy includes the original *"Purple Printing on Pink Paper"* insert – a printed sheet featuring surreal liner notes, full band personnel, acknowledgements, track listings and a tongue-in-cheek ‘epitaph’. A charming and rare inclusion, essential to the full context of the release.
