About This Record: At auction here is an original copy of The New Colony Six's 'Breakthrough' LP, the debut LP on the Sentar label (Sentar 101). This is 1966 Midwestern garage at its best. I like this LP just as much as the Rising Storm LP just sold. This is my personal copy of many years that I bought at a record show in Minneapolis in 1982, to upgrade my garage sale find! These are rarer than Litter Distortions/$l00 Fine LPs (I think there were only 500 made of this NC6 LP, a max of 1000 [unfortunately I lost my Tom Tourville book that has that info]). I have owned exactly eight (8) copies of The Litter's Distortions LP, but only three of these. (See My copy of Distortions for Sale as well!). It contains one of my favorite 60's psych punk garage numbers entitled 'At the River's Edge' and Hans Pokora gives this record 4 stars and his personal seal of approval! I certainly agree with Hans here, although I might have rated this five or six stars instead of four. Get it while you can and remember that my VG records are nice. CHECK my feedback. The Cover: The cover is a strong VG+, close to near mint. See my detailed scans at the end of this ad. The cover would be M- except that there are some stains on the back cover from factory glue. The spine and seams are intact, no ring wear. Most copies that turn up have seam splits and wear. The Vinyl: The vinyl is a strong VG. My previous purchasers know this means it is still a nice record. No signs of abuse, just lots of paper scuffs and such. No skips or jumps or defects like that. I have owned this since 1982; sold my previous copy that was in slightly worse condition to Treehouse records in1982 or 1983 after I found this one. Remember, this record is fully guaranteed and returnable for a full refund if for some strange reason you are not satisfied. The Labels. The labels of the record are in nice VG+ condition except that the label on one side has a slight factory defect (it is not quite round; see scan). While I have only owned 3 copies over the last 25 years, all three copies had this minor label defect, including my keeper copy [no I can’t do without this LP]. My Grading Policy: I use strict Goldmine grading standards. Accordingly, I do NOT use the grade EX (or EX+, or EX-). While I use VG+ (which seems to be EX to EX+), I do not use the grade VG+(+) or VG+(-). I offer a full refund if you are not satisfied.
