Description

Mint Condition This extremely rare 1964 acetate promo recording is part of a recently-discovered cache of demos, acetates and other records from the BBC. It features The Naturals who were one of the more mysterious 60’s beat groups. Not much is known for sure about them, other than their origins - they came out of Harlow, Essex, and were at one point apparently known as the Blue Beats, before taking on the name the Cossacks and finally settling on the Naturals in early 1964. They were signed to EMI's Parlophone label at around this same time, and made their debut late that winter with "Daisy Chain" b/w "That Girl." It failed to chart quite spectacularly. This one-sided acetate looks to be an early test pressing/demo of that A side and as such is very obscure indeed. Sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIKff1Za-4w TEM187/8 It is in mint condition with no marks to acetate, no spindle marks and appears to be unplayed. The label features the Dick James Music Limited title and the code TEM 1687/8. The handwritten word Parlophone and the release date 27/3/64 also feature as does a printed name. Comes in original plain white sleeve.
