High Violet is the fifth studio album by The National, which was released on May 11, 2010. High Violet sold 51,000 copies in its first week of sales, charting at number three on the Billboard 200 and marking The National's highest charting effort yet. This autographed poster and colored vinyl was sent to us from the record label, and now it can be all yours! Start biding and remember that all the proceeds go to CD101 For the Kids.Poster is 8.5 x 11 and folded in half. Vinyl is not autographed.
The CD101 for the Kids Charity is designed as an avenue for WWCD to be able to better utilize the power of our airwaves to support local charities that are committed to helping children and families in need throughout Central Ohio. CD101 is locally owned and operated with a strong philanthropic philosophy of giving back to the community by using the resources available to us while incorporating our staff, listeners and clients.The main event supporting the CD101 for the Kids 501C3 is our annual “Andyman-a-Thon”. This is a 48-hour DJ marathon in December along with an eBay auction. We are proud to announce that this year, 2010, is our 18th year. During the “Andyman-a-Thon” we encourage our listeners to call the on air studio to request songs to be played for a donation, along with bidding on our eBay items. This money was then donated back to various local charities, including but not limited to, Childhood League, Children's Hospital, Family and Child Advocacy, Homeless families Foundation, HDSA, and Ronald McDonald House.
