Description

A spring 1969 one-box copy on UK Columbia. Matrix 1/1 - 1st cut. Stampers 1-AH/1-RL. Earliest copies would be from summer 1966. But these one-boxers are from spring 1969 [a small passage of time in the grand scheme of things]. If you're fussy with your mono audio - these copies are well worth investigating. Note how the labels still mention 'Sold In The UK' - and these are the earliest one-box copies. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an mono original flipback cover. We also have the original sepia toned inner. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen lightest use. Lovely shiny surfaces with nothing worth a couple of very insignificant marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with two slight deviations. Beautiful high quality mono sound - you cannot fail to be impressed. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. If you're really into your audio then have a good think about this copy. Intro to "Rising Sun"...clean as a whistle!...Love it! All I could detect was the odd slight crackle in the intro to the fussy 'Bring It On Home' [Still way better performance on this track than most copies will deliver]. 'Mad' is the other fussy one - just slightest static presence in a couple of the quietest moments on this one. And one isolated tick in 'Misunderstood'. But overall I'd argue this a superbly preserved 60's original. Hard not to like!
Cover (Ex) A beautifully shiny and clean front - impressive! Perfectly flat without a crease - not even a hint of light fade. The rear seems to have avoided the ageing process - just a couple of blemishes observable. Extremely smart looking. All flipbacks are perfectly intact and secure. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Sweet!
